Candidate for Prime Minister II

In my previous blog I had mentioned five things I wish to do if I become PM.

It is possible that UPA, NDA and Third Front will have 181 seats each in Lok Sabha and my chance of becoming PM will be bright. Vladimir Putin was not a member of any political party. He became PM of Russia.

Today I will deal with points 6 and 7.

6) Uniform Civil Code

India will have Uniform Civil Code. Adoption of 18 years and above will be illegal and invalid. Law regarding marriage, divorce, separation, annulment and dissolution will be same for all. Monogamy will apply to all. This will avoid episodes like Chander Mohan/Chand Mohammed marrying Anuradha Bali/Fiza and deserting her.

7) Hacking

There will be tough punishments for hacking, identity theft, illegal access of e-mail ids of other people, creating and sending viruses and such crimes. If a person illegally accesses another person’s e-mail id and sends nude photographs of that person to the contacts in the e-mail id the punishment will be death.

Candidate for Prime Minister

Lok Sabha elections are coming near. There are many candidates for Prime Minister. Manmohan Singh is the Congress candidate. Lal Krishna Advani is the BJP candidate. Bhairon Singh Shekhawat wants to be Prime Minister. Sharad Pawar has the support of Shiv Sena and Samajwadi Party. Ram Vilas Paswan, Mayawati, Laloo Prasad Yadav and others hope to be Prime Minister.

I wish to be the Prime Minister of India. It is unlikely that I will contest Lok Sabha election but it is not necessary to be MP to become PM. One can become MP within six months of becoming PM. Narasimha Rao and Deve Gowda did that.

If I become PM I wish to do the following:

1) Abolition of taxes.

I will set in motion a process that will reduce taxes by 1% per year and within 30 years all taxes will be abolished. Expenses needed for running the country will be met from licenses and rents from government properties. Imagine a time when you don’t have to pay Income Tax, Sales Tax, VAT, Customs Duties, Excise Duties, Octroi etc.

2) Equality

There will be equality and no discrimination on basis of class, caste, tribe, sex etc. Reservations in government jobs and institutions will be abolished.

3) Rule of Law

There will be rule of law. There will be death penalty for murder, attempted murder, abduction, kidnapping, hijacking, acid throwing and such high crimes. Life sentence will mean the person will be in prison till death. For other crimes there will be suitable punishments. Sentences will run consecutively. At present they are mostly concurrent.

4) TV

Free to air channels will be allowed to show adult films between 11.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. Pay channels any time.

5) Midnight masses

Midnight masses will be allowed for Christmas, New Year and Easter.

There are many other things I want to do. They will be revealed in due course.

Vincent Van Gogh and I

Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings are sold for millions of dollars today. During his lifetime his paintings did not get him much money. One painting was sold for a small amount. He died at the age of 37.
There are some similarities between me and Vincent Van Gogh. He was not successful during his lifetime. So far I am not successful in many things I did.
I do not know many successful people who had Vincent as their first name. There was Vicente Fox, President of Mexico. Vicente is the Spanish form of Vincent. There was Vincent Price, a British actor. There are some saints: St. Vincent, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Vincent Ferrer, St. Vincent Palotti and so on. People are declared saints after their death.
Some names and events have coincidences. There were seven kings of Scotland who had the name James. Their fathers died during their childhood. There were three kings of England who had the name Richard. They had violent end. Napoleon Bonaparte and Napoleon III lost their empires. Napoleon II was an emperor only in name. In British royalty women who had the name Jane died young. Some were beheaded.
Sometimes I feel I am the right person at the wrong place at the wrong time. At one time the High School I attended had the classification by age for sports. Those who were below 16 years were juniors and above 16 years were seniors. That would have suited me. When I was in High School it was by height and I was at a disadvantage.
I wish to be famous and successful during my lifetime. I hope I will succeed.
