Indian Express repetitions

I come across repetitions in The Indian Express.

The article “The hormone of laddishness” that appeared under Science and Technology section on 3/5/2010 was a repetition of the article “The CSI effect” that had appeared on 30/4/2010.

The article “The long march – The yuan and global imbalances” with a picture of Chinese currency that appeared on 1/7/2010 was a repetition of the article “Mecca vs Las Vegas” about a Saudi tower with a graph of heights of towers that had appeared on 30/6/2010.

The news item “No relief for ketchup colonel” on page 6 on 9/7/2010 was repeated on page 7 of the same day.

Such repetitions have taken place before. What has the editor of The Indian Express to say about them?

Hitler was a friend of India

Hitler helped Subhash Chandra Bose who wanted India to be a free country. Due to Hitler’s help to Subhash Chandra Bose Japan released Indian soldiers who were prisoners of war. Indian National Army was formed. INA had some success before Japan was defeated.

The British and others have reasons to hate Hitler. India has no reason to hate Hitler.

The crimes committed by the British are not talked about. They were the first to use concentration camps in South Africa and many Boers died in them. Hitler wanted to end war with UK and Rudolf Hess who went there with peace proposal was imprisoned. That was an embarrassment for Germany and Hitler disowned Rudolf Hess.

Germany under Hitler weakened UK and that made India’s independence possible. UK could not hold on to India and other colonies.

More people died under Stalin than Hitler.
Churchill waxed eloquent about democracy but did not want democracy for India.

India and Terrorism

India faces terrorism within and abroad. Indians in Afghanistan are targets of terrorism. Asking Pakistan to hand over terrorists has not helped. When the evidence is presented to Pakistan’s foreign secretary he calls it literature.
India must stop asking Pakistan to hand over terrorists. India must declare that they are wanted dead or alive and announce prizes for anyone who hands them over dead or alive.
The places from where terrorist activity takes place must be destroyed by missiles.
There are people who say war is not an option. They are afraid that missile attacks will lead to war. War should not be ruled out as an option.
Pakistan wants to dominate Afghanistan and does not want India’s presence there. America wants to get out of Afghanistan and has set the deadline. It wants Pakistan to help it. Pakistan in return wants America to keep India out of Afghanistan.
India should not come under pressure from any country.
Terrorism within should be crushed whoever engages in it. Whether the person is a Sadhvi or Lieutenant Colonel or a Naxal or a Jehadi is immaterial. Cases should be decided soon.
